Capt. Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) diverts the starship Enterprise from its scheduled trip to Cmdr. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) and Counselor Troi's (Marina Sirtis) wedding to negotiate a peace treaty with the Romulans. Picard is shocked when Shinzon (Tom Hardy), the new Praetor of the Romulans, admits to being a clone of him. When the crew members discover a break-in on their computer, they are forced into a life-or-death battle to stop Shinzon's Warbird before it can destroy the Earth.

It's not bad, really. It is also the tenth Star Trek movie, which means an awful lot of celluloid featuring grown men wearing children's stretchy pyjamas and standing behind plasterboard consoles looking purposeful.

This film gives the feeling of a very poorly constructed fan fiction more than it does a film of even mediocre writing. As a lifelong fan of this cast, and this franchise, I was deeply dissatisfied with this film. Despite one or two cool moments, and a re-uniting of a much beloved cast with great chemistry, Nemesis plays more like a lengthy episode of TNG than it does a movie. And it would not have been one of the good episodes, this would have been one of the worst ones. Also this movie's script does not have enough content to fill the runtime of even one TNG episode. Both the cast and the franchise deserved much better than this.

Star Trek: Nemesis is a flimsy finale to The Next Generation movies. Its basic premise, that Captain Picard’s skills and expertise are due to his DNA rather than his years of training and experience, is fundamentally flawed. And as the film tries to take a stand on that fragile foundation, it stumbles through a half-baked plot with the weight of the storyline being dumped on a young Tom Hardy’s underdeveloped shoulders. There are some entertaining moments, but when you look at what other movies Star Trek: Nemesis was competing with in 2002, it’s no wonder it failed to perform at the box office.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Synopsis
